What are the stainless steel filter cartridges?

Stainless steel filter elements are cylindrical devices made of durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, used to remove contaminants from liquids or gases. As the fluid flows through its porous structure, it physically blocks impurities through either surface or depth filtration. Because stainless steel filter elements can withstand harsh environments and can be cleaned and reused, they are a cost-effective and reliable choice for demanding industrial applications.

Types of Stainless Steel Filter Elements:

Stainless steel filter elements are available in a variety of forms, each designed for specific applications and filtration requirements.

Sintered Metal: These filter elements are made from pressed stainless steel powder or multiple layers of mesh, then heated to form a rigid, porous structure.

Sintered Powder: Provides deep filtration, capturing extremely fine particles.

Sintered Mesh: Provides strong support for high-temperature and high-dirt-load applications.

Pleated: Made from pleated wire mesh or sintered fibers, this design maximizes filtration surface area. They offer high dirt-holding capacity, long service life, and low pressure drop.

Wire Mesh: Filter elements are constructed from high-quality woven wire mesh, formed under high temperature and pressure to create a uniform, finely textured structure. They are durable and suitable for filtering aggressive chemicals.

Wedge Wire: Made of a sturdy mesh welded from V shaped stainless steel wire, these filter elements are extremely durable and resistant to clogging. They are typically used for coarse filtration.

Stainless Steel Filter Mesh

Stainless steel filters mesh constructed from interwoven stainless steel wires and are used to separate solid particles from liquids or gases.

They work by trapping larger particles in the mesh while allowing fluids to pass through. They are highly regarded for their durability, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance. They are made from woven 304 or 316 stainless steel mesh. They are assembled using a welding or crimping process without the use of resins or adhesives. The filter media consists of one or more layers. They can be configured to meet your specific application needs, utilizing a TiG seam welding process and assembling the media, center core, and end fittings using the same process. They are washable and reusable.

The stainless steel mesh filter elements have an operating temperature range of -150°C (302°F) to +300°C (572°F) and can withstand differential pressures up to 60 psi (150 psi is also available). They are available in a variety of micron ratings, from 5µm to 1000µm (nominal).

These filters are widely used in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries, as well as in air and water purification.

Pleated Sintered Metal Fibre Filter Cartridges

Pleated sintered metal fiber filter elements are high-performance, reusable filter elements made from randomly distributed metal fibers sintered to form a uniform, high-porosity, three-dimensional porous structure. The pleated structure maximizes the filtration surface area, resulting in high dirt-holding capacity and low pressure drop. They can be used to filter corrosive or high-temperature liquids and gases, providing deep filtration. They are washable and reusable, making them a cost-effective and durable alternative to disposable filter elements.

It offers extremely low pressure drop, high permeability, and excellent dust holding capacity. The operating temperature range of pleated sintered metal fiber filters is -269°C (-452°F) to 1000°C (1832°F), with a typical maximum differential pressure of 25 bar (363 psi) in normal flow direction. We offer a wide range of micron ratings, from 3µm to 300µm (nominal).

All of our pleated sintered metal fiber filters are easily reusable through backwashing, ultrasonic cleaning, or other non-corrosive cleaning techniques, enhancing cost-effectiveness.
